Garrett wanted to make this the ‘find-all’ detector so it’ll even pick up tiny gold nuggets at six inches. There’s a frequency scan button – hallelujah!

Garrett has done a fantastic job of making the box streamlined for better comfort. It has an LCD screen that provides tons of useful information as you search. Yet, it’s not overbearingly heavy like some other models you see on the market. Overall, the Garrett AT Pro metal detector only weighs a manageable 3.03 pounds.

The Garrett ACE 300 has an 8 kHz adjustable frequency whereas the Fisher F22 operates on a 7.69 kHz frequency. There’s barely anything in it. This frequency means both machines are best suited to coin and jewelry hunting and neither fare well on wet sand. 1DCKQq.
